Asking for critiqueIf you don’t want to hear it, don’t ask .Don’t expect people to solve problems that you could solve with a simple google search, reference photos and opening an anatomy book. You don’t have to apply every advice you get, it’s up to you to decide what you have time/ energy for and what you want to save for future works, but acknowledge the effort people put in commenting. They took their time, and that is a pretty rare nowadays.Giving critiqueHave manners. You can be honest without being an asshole. Paintovers are a lot more useful than giving a wall of text. The Shit Sandwich method is questionable. Let’s not play mind tricks. If you are saying positive things only to not hurt people/ make them think you are a nice person, your advice doesn’t worth much. Next time nobody will know that you are serious or just being nice. Don’t forget to point out the good things, but if there is not much, then don’t try to make it look better than what it is. Everybody has to deal with being bad at a certain point.
